The Company Men
John Wells 2009 | Premieres, First Feature, World Premiere
Interesting the John Wells wrote this during the dot.com bust. Definitely hit home w/ me as I work in HR- have had to let people go in big corps and small companies, looked for a job for 8 months, moved home w/ my parents and was happy to get my 1st paycheck even if it was 1/2 of what I used to make. The salary w/ Ben's character didn't seem right as how could he afford that home, Porshe, etc. but I'm sure it was more relatable for viewers. I didn't think it was as "dark" as other reviewers have written.

Josh Radnor 2009 | U.S. Dramatic Competition, First Feature, World Premiere
loved the kid and Josh is clever. I'm glad he paid so much attention to the soundtrack as it was perfect. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the Mary Catherine actress as she didn't look old enough or believeable. Other than that, I can't wait to see it again. The one-liners were awesome and Josh was fun to listen to during the Q&A.

Family Affair
Chico Colvard 2009 | U.S. Documentary Competition, First Feature, World Premiere
Wish I didn't have to sit in the 2nd row so I wasn't able to enjoy the film as much as I would have liked but the Q&A on Friday was the best one I have ever attended. It was truly amazing to meet Chico and his sisters. Many audience members asked questions and gave kudos to Chico and his family. It was like a group therapy session (in a good way)! The topic was obviously heartwrenching but Chico did it tastefully. I'm fascinated to see how each of the 3 sisters have dealt with the abuse and leaving of their mother.
