Mother & Child
Rodrigo GarcĂa 2009 | Spotlight
Wow. I loved this film. I also appreciate how a male director could understand the complexity of how women think and act. Great acting. Great film.

The Killer Inside Me
Michael Winterbottom 2009 | Premieres, World Premiere
The film was "over the top" with showing graphic violence, but I would still say that it was a good film. Casey Affleck did a good job playing a psychopath. I have to admit, though, that I had to cover my eyes a few times during the violent scenes...and there were a few.

A Small Act
Jennifer Arnold 2009 | U.S. Documentary Competition, First Feature, World Premiere
Great documentary! The film had a very strong message that every individual on the planet has the ability to help make the world a better place. No act of kindness is too small.
