Lovers of Hate
Bryan Poyser 2010 | U.S. Dramatic Competition, World Premiere
A vicious film. The animosity the characters have towards each other is simply nasty for it's own sake.....The films production values are low, which should be fine, yet strangely for a no budget film they still seemed to try to craft it in a conventional way...they should have embraced the dogme / mumble vibe and gone all the way. They're just stuck bleakly somewhere in the middle....

The Perfect Host
Nick Tomnay 2009 | Park City at Midnight, First Feature, World Premiere
What an original and tense idea for a film. Awesome performances by the two leads especially. This is a great thriller and you have NO IDEA where it's going to go as the moments unfold. The plot's complex and required attention with lots of twists to stay on top of. There just so much in it. Although there are some gruesome moments the films more psychologically scary and that's the best kind ! This deserves to do well.

Skateland
Anthony Burns 2009 | U.S. Dramatic Competition, First Feature, World Premiere
An amazingly great looking film from a design and cinematography perspective, this film dazzles and nearly distracts you from realising it's not about very much. It's familiar teen angst territory and not original. It almost starts to have teeth but it takes a long time to get there. Great cast and amazing soundtrack.
